Welcome to the beginning of the July LUNGE CRUNCH CHALLENGE! It will run July 7th - Aug 7th. We will be doing these in all MSC classes for the month, but you also have to commit to doing them on your own. Here is the scoop:
Challenge: to do 100 Lunges with an Ab Twist every day during the month
GOAL: The combination of Lunges (one of THE most effective leg/butt exercises!) with a balanced Ab Twist will help create RESULTS to tighten the most troublesome areas: ABS, thighs and BOOTY! This also keeps you active everyday!
How to do the exercise
1) Standing up, Put your hands behind your head, elbows out (like you would when doing crunches).
2) Go down into a proper lunge – front knee behind the front toe, leading leg parallel to the ground, and back knee almost to the floor.
3) Twist down from the opposite side and crunch with your elbow towards the opposite knee.
4) Stand up to a full standing position, and repeat on the other leg.
5) Each Lunge and Ab Twist combination equals 1 repetition. Each day you will do 50 on each leg., TOTALing 100 per day!
***TIP: You do NOT have to do all of them at once. Split it up - 20 when you wake up, 20 before you go to lunch, 20 after lunch, 20 when you walk in the door from work, 20 at the gym. You cand o them in barefeet at the bathroom at work if you need to. They are harder than they seem once you get over 20! Its the balance part that will really get ya!
****If you plan to attend class that day - we will do them ALL in class so you don't need to do any before hand.****
